SEO Standards Declaration

SEO Clinic’s Search Engine Optimisation Company Members Code of Practice.
In displaying the SEO Clinic’s ‘SEO Standards Declaration’ logo on our website or stationery we promise to strictly adhere to the following code of conduct relating to Search Engine Optimisation.
1. We will not knowingly or purposefully break any international laws or national laws within the country that the site is based.
2. We will never knowingly or purposefully mislead our clients.
3. We promise to work within recognised ‘white hat’ guidelines that are apparent within the SEO industry. Though this is sometimes difficult to quantify due to varying opinions we will always endeavour to use ’best practice’ techniques.
4. It is also understood that we will never intentionally harm a site’s ranking ability due to any dubious practices such as ‘cloaking’ and the use of SPAM.
5. It is understood that many websites benefit from both good organic results and well-planned Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns. If running a Pay per click campaign for a client, we will never try to suppress organic results in order to continue the need for extensive pay per click expenditure. Our goal will be to minimize our client’s spending needs in this regard.
6. When working on behalf of a client, we will not take on other clients who are a direct competitor of the original client in order to avoid a conflict in interests. This would be with the exception of circumstances where all parties agree for this to happen.
7. When submitting information to general directories, blogs or article directories etc. we will never knowingly give false or misleading information relating to a client’s business or website.
8. All copyrighted materials will be checked and cleared for permissions before using within a client’s website.
9. We will never intentionally share any of our client’s confidential information, company practices, company secrets or personal information with any third party without the express permission of our client unless we are required to by a law enforcement agency.
10. We will work at all times with our client’s best interests in mind.
Please check our membership list carefully to see if the company who's site referred you here is still listed. Companies not listed may have been removed for conduct that does not conform to the above list of decrees. Not being listed does not guarantee that a member has been removed.
